How to Install puppet-el software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

puppet-el software package provides syntax highlighting for puppet manifests in emacs, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install puppet-el

puppet-el is installed in your system.

Make ensure the puppet-el package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep puppet-el *

You will get with puppet-el package name, version, architecture and description in a table
